For this project, I had to use only sounds to convey a story in 1-2 minutes. The purpose of this project was to demonstrate my ability to masterfully layer numerous sounds to tell a plot, and we were required to make numerous foley sounds of our own to include in these projects as well.

At first, my idea was to create a soundscape about cooking, yet the issue with this idea is that cooking is typically one step after another, which doesn't offer a lot of opportunities for layering sound. My idea then transformed to take place inside of a restaurant, and for a fire to occur in the soundscape. Both of these changes would offer a lot more space for layering, and were a massive help down the line.

The actual creative process was relatively simple. The making of the foley sounds was easy, as all of the sounds needed were easily made in the average kitchen, like an egg cracking or running water. The soundscape came relatively naturally as we wanted to produce what one would genuinely hear in a kitchen, down to the quiet AC noises. There were a few issues with using the editing software as I am still relatively new to it, but the making of the project was enjoyable and fun.
